Why did you choose Kenan-Flagler?
I chose Kenan-Flagler because of the community. There are many schools around the country that have impressive and high ranking programs but Kenan-Flagler stood out among the rest. More than any other school, I was impressed by how willing the Kenan- Flagler students, faculty, and administration were to help me in all aspects of the admissions process. Kenan-Flagler’s core values help to nurture a truly collaborative community aimed at excellence.
How will you define success within the MBA program?
I will consider my time in the MBA program a success if I have a job that I want and I walk away with no regrets. I want to take full advantage of everything the program has to offer. Looking back, I want to be able to say that I absolutely took in as much as possible.
What are you looking to gain the most during your first year experience?
Along with the basic analytical and quantitative skills needed to be successful in my summer internship, I hope to build a strong network, both professional and social, that I will keep with me forever.

What does Your Kenan-Flagler and Consortium Network mean to you? My Consortium network at Kenan- Flagler means a lot to me because, in such a short time, this network has done so much for me. The Consortium was my first point of contact to the Kenan- Flagler community and without it, I do not believe I would have adjusted so quickly. Also knowing that the support doesn’t end with OP makes the network that much more important to me.
Who is someone in business that you admire the most?
I really admire an entrepreneur named Scott-Vincent Borba. After success as an estheticians and working for many years for a lot of different CPG firms, Scott- Vincent decided to start his own edible skincare company in Los Angeles. He sold 10,000 in his first two days of business. Aside from this, what really inspires me about Scott- Vincent comes from his passion for his products and the skin care business as a whole. Each of his products has his own person touch on it and he single-handedly sells his products on QVC and to stores around the country. I admire Scott- Vincent because he does his job because he loves it and not because he has to. I believe this is the key to his success. Scott- Vincent Borba is one of my biggest inspirations. Look him up!
What three words define who you are, and why?
The best three words to define me are logical, calm and persistent. I attack every task with a cool head and rational thought. I never freak out and I never let up.
What is an interesting personal fact that you would like to share?
I went skydiving in Hawaii last summer because of a dare. Until that point, I was afraid of heights.
