MBA Concentration: Real Estate Development
Career goals: Post-MBA I want to work for a large real estate development firm and gain exposure to the business. Long term I want to own a real estate company that focuses in community redevelopment and historic rehabilitation
Why did you choose Kenan-Flagler?
The people – was a great fit. The real estate program is the best in the country.
How will you define success within the MBA program?
Staying organized, patience, perseverance, humility and personal happiness.
What are you looking to gain the most during your first year experience?
Build my network within the industry, take the proper classes that will prepare me for my internship and future career, travel as much as I can (DBI, Habitat For Humanity trip to Honduras)
What does Your Kenan-Flagler and Consortium Network mean to you?
Support system and team. The second-year students and faculty were great in helping us to navigate through OP. The class of 2012 were supportive and encouraging to one another from OP to the present.
Who is someone in business that you admire the most?
Bill Gates – not only is he one of the most successful businessmen on the planet but he is a humanitarian. He and his wife are very passionate about the welfare and well-being of underprivileged youth. He is actively involved and contributes to several charities across the world. His passion and contribution to various charities is something I really admire.
What three words define who you are, and why?
Outgoing – I am an extrovert and love talking and meeting others. I am a networker! Ambitious – I am a goal-oriented person and will continue to be throughout my professional career. I think it takes an ambitious person to leave their job and come back to business school. Trustworthy – many people confide in me when they have concerns or issues they may be facing and either ask for my advice or just want someone to listen to a problem they may not feel comfortable telling others.
What is an interesting personal fact that you would like to share?
I did my first Habitat for Humanity project ever in Honduras over spring break.
