Alan Lefebvre
MBA Concentration: General Management
Background:
I grew up on the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona and Southern Utah. I went to West Point for Undergrad where I majored in engineering management. Afterwards, I spent 5 years in the Army as an infantry officer and was deployed to Afghanistan for 15 months. I rose to the ranks of Captain before I left the Army.
Career Goals:
I have accepted an assistant brand management position with P&G. I still don't know what I want to be in the long run but I am very excited about the different opportunities P&G has to offer. I am taking a lot of classes focused on startups and want to continue to explore that space.
What did you do for your Internship?
I worked at P&G on COVERGIRL as an Assistant Brand Manager.
What will you be doing next semester?
I am taking classes focused on innovation and working with a few startups in the local areas. I want to take the time to learn about startups while I have the KFBS and Research Triangle.
What does your Kenan-Flagler and Consortium network mean to you?
It is a great group of current and past professionals who have a shared purpose and understanding. While there are a lot of people in the
business school, the Consortium network is unique because it is something that helps to build relationships with other members across the US.
Both the Consortium and KFBS are networks that I am proud to be a member and people that I enjoy being around.
In three words, define who you are and why?
Honest- Driven - Leader
Honesty, integrity, and respect are key to building and maintaining relationships. Passion and drive help maintain focus and build not only short-term success but also long term stability. Leadership is been an incredibly important focus of my development over the past 10 years - knowing how and when to take charge and when to follow.
