Where did you grow up?
Camarillo, CA
Position prior to Kenan-Flagler:
Aircraft Design Engineer at The Boeing Company
MBA Concentration:
Marketing and Entrepreneurship
Why did you choose Kenan-Flagler? People say, “When you know, you just know.” As a prospective student, each person I met and every aspect of the KFBS community felt like the natural fit for me. In terms of curriculum, I was specifically drawn to the incredible variety of leadership, global immersion and elective courses.
How will you make an impact while at Kenan-Flagler? I’m very passionate about increasing the KFBS brand strength with West Coast companies and encouraging and empowering current and prospective female and minority students.
What has been your most memorable moment at Kenan-Flagler? A legacy event where gymnasts, magicians, artists and performers came out of the wood works to show off their hidden talents. I was incredibly impressed with the array of skills my peers had, which aren’t normally shown in a classroom.
Summer Internship (Company and Position): Procter & Gamble, Marketing
Post-MBA Career Goals: To find a management role in a location where I feel connected within the company and the surrounding community. I currently have a preference for the West Coast, but am open to opportunities in cities where I can find diversity of thought and lifestyle.
What three words best describe you and why? Charismatic – I love making new friends and getting to know people from diverse backgrounds. Driven – I’m incredibly goal oriented. Adventurous – Whether traveling the world alone or taking on a learning experience, I’m constantly thrilled with stepping outside of my comfort zone.
How will you define success within the MBA program? I will measure success by the strength of the relationships and network (throughout KFBS and the Consortium) that I build during the two years. I will also use career opportunities, increases in self-awareness and clearer prioritization of life goals as success metrics.
