MBA Concentration: Corporate Finance
Background
I have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. I worked as a System Analyst with the Federal Government of Nigeria for a year and decided to move back to the United States. Prior to business school, I worked as a Personal Banker in New York where I sourced, acquired and expanded customer relationships for Sovereign Bank for almost four years.
Career goals: Financial Analyst
Summer internship experience:
I worked as a Finance Intern with AT&T Mobility group where I developed a business case and assisted on building financial models.
Why did you choose Kenan-Flagler?
The school’s culture, reputation and its great location and environment.
Your student life involvement at Kenan-Flagler:
MBA Ambassador and Finance VP for the African Business Alliance.
What is your most memorable experience at Kenan-Flagler?
It was when I traveled to UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) and Morocco through the Global Immersion Elective program with twenty-three classmates, one executive MBA student, one faculty, and one staff. Beautiful trip!
What does Your Kenan-Flagler and Consortium Network mean to you?
In just a year, Kenan-Flagler Business School and Consortium (through The Consortium OP and Consortium Finance Network) have given me access to network of brilliant and kind students, alumni and mentors. The close-knit relationships, among the students, faculty and staff of the business school, have made my MBA experience so rewarding.
What advice can you share with the incoming Consortium class?
As a student, wife and mother, my advice is be true to yourself – who you are and who you want to be. This will guide you through the intensity of the MBA program. But with that said, be flexible and build relationships.
What is an interesting personal fact that you would like to share?
I love cooking.
