Why did you choose Kenan-Flagler? I chose Kenan-Flagler because of the strong reputation for leadership development and collaborative
culture, and the ability to complete real projects. With only two years of experience, I wanted to maximize my education by applying newly learned business concepts and fundamentals with actual business projects.
How will you make an impact while at Kenan-Flagler? I feel that I will bring attention to social issues like education to MBA students. I’ve had many discussions with classmates about my experience as a teacher in a low-income community, and there is genuine interest and concern to the future of our world from my classmates.
What has been your most memorable moment at Kenan-Flagler? My favorite moment has been spending time in the study rooms with my fellow Consortium members studying for difficult exams during the core in Mods I and II. While it was a rigorous time, I can’t even describe how all of the struggles, discussions, and laughs built a strong bond between us.
Post-MBA Career Goals: I would like to obtain experience in the corporate sector in human resources. My long-term
goal is to bring more fine arts classes and programs into schools of low income communities. I see myself continuing a path of training and development, talent acquisition, and strategic planning in the education sector.
What three words best describe you and why? Calm-most people recognize that I am generally low-key even during stressful situations.
Musical-I’m known for playing classical piano and having a love for music. Analytical-I taught mathematics and have had some success in quantitative classes.
How will you define success within the MBA program? I will be successful at the MBA program if I obtain a job within the function that I like, build a strong network, and earn strong grades in my classes.
